About me

Aisha Salem Ahmed Al Kaabi

I am an Emirati junior dressage rider, I am a fraternal triplet, born in 2008 in Genova, Italy.
I started my journey in  dressage at the age of 10 and I feel in love with this sport from day 1.

My passion and love revolves all around horses.

About dressage

I like to describe dressage as a blend of art and sport which started long ago in Ancient Greece, revived during the Italian Renaissance reached it peak as a classical dressage in Vienna with the founding of the Spanish Riding School. The techniques taught at this school formed the basis of modern dressage.

Dressage tests are a series of predetermined movements from memory  that are performed in a certain order at certain letters in the ring. If my test says to trot at A, I should start preparing my horse a few strides before the letter for my transition.

Sit straight, half halt to let my horse know that something is coming and when their shoulder reaches the letter and make my transition, bending my horse around my inside leg so his body follows the arc of the circle while I push his body out with my inside leg, adding more or less contact with my outside rein and keeping them balanced while maintaining a steady rhythm and contact with the bit without tension or resistance.

And so on there are much more ABC rules to follow.

Anna Kozik (UKR) – Thank you, for the confidence you instilled in me from the start. Such a strong base for my beginning riding  that I still think about the things you taught me in the saddle and how to properly set goals and how to achieve them.

Special Thanks to my father

There is someone who signed me up for this sport and it is one of the best decisions you could have made for me. They taught me that even if the plan changes, the goal doesn’t ! Appreciation  & Thanks, Mom & Dad. You seeing me succeed on doing the sport I love the most. I look forward to celebrating with you my success, as well to make my country proud of my results as much as proud i am to represent it.

I want to express my appreciation for the invaluable lessons you all have taught me.
